Free Earth relies on Tun2U for new e-commerce

Libera Terra renews e-commerce and relies on Tun2U Group to implement the new Magento-based project.
The nonprofit organization-founded in 2001 in Palermo with the aim of enhancing territories liberated from the mafias through the involvement of local producers-has opted for more advanced, faster and more functional technology. Specifically, Tun2U’s tech unit was responsible for engineering the new infrastructure by providing for a migration from Woocommerce to Magento. This work went hand in hand with the complete overhaul of system integration processes, the implementation of a number of new features for the management of different user groups, the integration of Klaviyo for automation marketing, and the refinement of the purchasing process in multishipping mode.

Among the new features introduced to improve usability and the shopping experience are ‘do-it-yourself’ packages; by selecting the type of package, the user can assort one or more gift packages to his/her liking by sending them to family and friends. Particular attention was then paid to revising the user area, with the addition of new features related to the loyalty program and its user type. In addition, Tun2U curated and revamped the digital strategy by decluttering it across Libera Terra’s entire digital ecosystem.

From the integration of a chatbot – for customer service – to new user registration logics, with the automatic assignment of dedicated price lists, the work involved the entire digital ecosystem, a 360-degree project involving several departments, both technology and design and performance.

The result? A better performing, engaging and highly updated platform ready to give a new shopping experience to old and new customers of Bottega Libera Terra.
UX and UI were completely redesigned following a CRO analysis process aimed at optimizing conversion rates from both desktop and mobile devices, all while maintaining an image consistent with the brand identity and integrated within the company’s various platforms.

“It has been months of intense work,” commented Pietro D’Aleo, general manager of Libera Terra Mediterraneo, the consortium that brings together Libera Terra cooperatives. “From the definition of a project on a time horizon looking to 2030, through the reconnaissance of needs, thanks also to the contribution of so many of La Bottega di Libera Terra’s clients, as well as the selection of the partner, to the work that has involved all business functions, elbow to elbow with the Tun2U team, in the definition of the functionalities, UX-UI and digital strategy. It was intense and exciting work, which we are sure will receive positive feedback from the public.”.
