A new, higher-performing and feature-rich e-commerce ready to meet the needs of the most demanding and food-conscious customers.
Bottega Libera Terra is a project of the Libera Terra Mediterranean Consortium, a reality active in the social and productive recovery of property liberated from the mafias.
The e-commerce project was set up to promote the sale of high-quality products from the work of the network’s cooperatives through methods that respect the environment and the dignity of people, promoting the organic cultivation of land.

CHALLENGE

AN EVOLVED STORE

L’obiettivo iniziale è stato quello di progettare un nuovo store online che potesse essere arricchito di funzionalità rispetto alla precedente piattaforma. Dalla migrazione da Woocommerce a Magento all’ottimizzazione dei processi di system integration per la corretta gestione della vendita di caseari e ortofrutta, la necessità primaria era quella di varare un nuovo progetto competitivo nel panorama del settore food.

SOLUTION

AN IMPORTANT FRONT/BACK END CUSTOMIZATION

Il progetto è iniziato con una prima fase di reverse engineering dei processi di integrazione seguito da una fase di confronto con il cliente riguardo alle esigenze di evoluzione delle funzionalità. Le unit di performance design e technology hanno lavorato di concerto per concepire una nuova esperienza utente che potesse unire l’ottimizzazione del processo di acquisto a una più efficiente gestione dei processi backend da parte del team di Bottega Libera Terra. Al termine del progetto, inoltre, è stato gestito con il cliente un complesso processo di migrazione dei dati dalla vecchia piattaforma alla nuova, riducendo a zero i disagi per tutti i vecchi clienti.

NEW ICON SET

A new icon set was designed for the new project that could immediately make user navigation more intuitive from both desktop and mobile devices. The color palette has also been revised and updated to make the new GUI pleasant and “bio friendly.”

A NEW USER-FRIENDLY EXPERIENCE

The entirety of the project was geared toward the development of a new user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) designed based on the multiple needs of LiberaTerra, which emerged from the data accumulated over the years and careful analysis of data from the available tracking tools.

THE DIY PACKAGING FOR THE PERFECT GIFT!

One of the main challenges centered on creating a new DIY package creation system. Thanks to a new design designed to simplify the process and a complete customization of the Magento frontend interface, users will now be able to create their packaging with ease and assort it to their liking from any device.

OPTIMIZED FOR EACH DEVICE

Each section of the e-commerce is designed to have maximum usability from any device. Innovative solutions and best practices have been integrated to realize a project that is state-of-the-art in every aspect.

MULTISHIPPING

Starting from the basic logic of Magento, the multishipping management system was customized, greatly improving the user experience.

UP-SELLING AND CROSS-SELLING TOOLS

In order to improve the user experience and increase the average shopping cart, up- and cross-selling tools such as purchase in parcels, subscriptions, an innovative loyalty program, and more have been integrated.

NEW DIGITAL STRATEGY

In a highly competitive environment such as the Food & Beverage industry, it becomes essential for a brand not only to stand out, but also to communicate its message very effectively. To this end, a multichannel digital strategy based on SEA, e-mail marketing automation and social media marketing was developed that could consolidate brand awareness, increase audience and build customer loyalty from the first purchase.

Our specialists focused on the concept of a new set of email automation flows with the goal of intercepting users’ habits, facilitating their interaction with e-commerce in order to increase retention values and conversion rates.
