WhatsApp, the world’s most popular messaging service will now allow the text of chat messages to be emphasized and made more communicative.
If you were looking for new ways to emphasize words in conversations on the instant messaging service par excellence, here you go: as of today, the application’s 900 million monthly users will be able to take advantage of new formatting options for writing via WhatsApp, giving greater prominence to certain words in their speeches. These new options also affect the desktop version of the application and can be used easily thanks to the use of specific symbols that go into editing individual words or phrases.
Three new features to best emphasize each word
Just use these simple tricks, completely unheard of for the messaging service acquired by Facebook in 2014, and you will finally be able to put more emphasis on all our messages. Here are the symbols to use to change the words we intend to write in bold, italic or crossed out: To write a word in bold, you will simply insert it between two asterisks. Thus, as if by magic, entering *asterisks* will give you asterisks. On the other hand, if you want to write in italics, the word must be inserted between two underscores, as below: _cursive_. As a last option, you will also be able to insert crossed-out words or even phrases, and to do this you will simply insert the word between two tildes. Thus, from ~tilde~ we will get tilde.
